Today I am partnering with Walmart Fashion to share some exciting news- they’ve just launched a new plus size fashion line called Eloquii Elements. This new fashion forward collection is in partnership with ELOQUII, a brand that’s actually part of the Walmart family. The collection includes 27 fun fashion pieces and is available in sizes 14-28 and will be available on both Walmart and Eloquii’s website.
.
I put together two looks using pieces from the new Eloquii Elements line to inspire you. I wanted to show you a few fun ways to wear one of my favorite colors for fall, olive green! This mossy hue is virtually a neutral and is very on trend for this fall. This first look airs a fun olive green and black zebra print dress , with a fun and cozy cropped dolman sweater.
I could write an entire love note to the leggings. They are thick and structured enough to wear as pants, aren’t see through when you bend over and the faux leather detailing is so chic. I paired them with a puff sleeve ribbed tee and an ultra cool faux leather jacket for a modern biker look I just adore.
SHOP MY FAVORITES FROM THE COLLECTION BELOW
Overall the collection offers timeless, fashion forward pieces with a price tag any fashionista can afford; most of the collection prices at under $35! I really liked how easy it was to mix and match the pieces. It’s no wonder the fit so well the collection was designed by the ELOQUII design team who have significant expertise in plus-sized fashion & fit. You can shop my favorites from the collection below!

Somedays you just want drown your face in a pile of stuffed animals. On those days I wear faux fur. Then at any time during the day I can sweep my chin against the wafts of plush surrounding my face and feel at ease. I can also reenact 1980s skiing adds ( like down below) whenever it suits me. Look at me I am just having such a fun time at this sky resort, with all my rich friends, in our ski bunny attire and making important calls on our large cell phones. Thanks for asking.
As a super pear I usually belt my fur vests. This is because I like to have a defined shape and often when wearing a fur vest my waist can get lost in swaddles of plushy fabric. I like a cinch to define my curves. It’s a thing.
A Round of Applause for Wearable Heels
I just want to give a quick shout out to heels that feel like flats. A once inch block heel changed my life. I love the way heels make my feel, but for real yo I don’t know how any one survives in 3 inch stunners, let alone some of the crazy stilettos I see. I didn’t train to be in the circus. I have not intention to walk on stilts. I don’t want to paint my face, wear, spandex and entertain you. Wait nope, I actually do want to do that. Just not on stilts.
A block heel makes me feel supported, and the inch height means even if I’m on my feet all day- like Gloria Gaynor- I Will Survive. Plus this red color perfectly mixes the “no place like home” wishes of Dorothy and the footwear that Elvis Costello reminded us only angels can be envious of. Can I make any more song references in this post? Well, woomp there it is (shaka laka shaka laka)

I am really excited because I came up with a theme this week. Mostly because I needed something to help me keep focused in my posting. I seem to neglect this lil blog sometimes, and I am trying to be better about it. Please oh please forgive me? Anyways, back to this theme shenanigans. This week- is straight up juicy, berry juicy. I’ve been noticing all the amazing berry tones in the stores these days and I couldn’t help but riff on it for the week. So this week I’ll be rocking threads drenched with a lil tart berry pucker. Today I kick it all off with a little pomegranate (that’s kind of a berry, right?) promenade.
There is nothing that says fall more to me than an oversized duster sweater draped over a jersey dress. It’s the look of the season in my own humble opinion. Dusters allow us to transition and to begin the process of heat swaddling before packing on the extra thermal layers. Plus a good duster makes a sassy sexy dress feel work appropriate. The pomegranate lace up dress on it’s own is basically a man trap- catching all the men with the power of accentuated curves and exposed cleavage. However paired with the duster it becomes almost homey- still adorable and flattering- just more approachable and seemingly modest.
The length of the duster allows the dress to just peak out below. I have a special place in my heart for duster/dress combinations that fall this perfectly. Why can’t everything be this seemingly easy? Lets talk about why adore this peak a boo affect so much. The red dash at the bottom causes the eyes to really acknowledge the striped details in the sweater and creates comfort and cohesion for the brain. Too much and it seems disjointed, too little and it feels unresolved. This my chickadees, is a perfect amount of peak. The orange belt also offers visual comfort, making a subtle nod to another line of striping in the sweater.
You can find the duster and dress at Torrid. As for the boots, belt, sass, and charisma of the model- unfortunately they are the stylist own.

So the 90s were awesome and I 100% support any touches of their style flair Ive seen creeping into fall wardrobes. My personal favorite? Dress over shirts. The easiest of these flourishes to rock being, pairing a summer swing dress over a turtle neck to create an adorable fall look that no one can argue is out of season.
One of the main reasons this looks so fresh is the child like concept making a nod to that saved by the bell fashion favorite, but the more structured layers saying- ” Hold up I’m an adult now. I got this.” Want to make a style flash back? For a more casual look, you can try rocking a more informal variation by wearing ringer t-shirt under a strappy summer sundress.
Another key fall trend is purses you wear.. yup bring back those fanny packs. The trend is actually much larger than just that. Models this season were wearing purses as necklaces, anklets and capes. Many of these bold stunners aren’t practical, but an upscale fanny pack has the right flair to acknowledge this fashion time while at the same time not being too out there or conceptual. This isn’t a trend, but let me give a shout out to brogues. Ladies if you don’t own a pair, you should. This is the one style of shoes I’ve seen endure years of love and always remains relevant. Brogues are darn comfortable, can be a little edgy and just awesome. Invest in a pair, they’re worth it.

One of the most unusually pervasive trends this fall season was the pairing of mustard yellow hues with soft delicate rose quartz touches. While the color combination seems nothing short of an odd couple, getting the right balance can make a look really stand out.
So how do you make it work? Keep it simple. Choose one hue to rock the stage and the other to play a supporting role. For example, in this look I only added a light nod of pale pink as a sleeve under a deliciously golden dress.
Highlighting another popular Fall 2016 trend – statement wrap chokers, Ive pair this look with rope belt wrapped twice around my neck and tied as a necklace. The red adds a pop of color and adds dimension to the look .
The result is a look that has a vintage feel, with a modern color palate. So many trends this season bring in the old while providing something new. I really enjoy the yellow pink pairing because it feels fresh and young, but at the same time makes me want to go to a disco.
