The number one question I get asked is, “where do you find cheap clothing in plus size?” At first I 100% set on creating a list of places to buy affordable plus clothing, but then I sat down and through through it a little more and made a decision. See I personally believe in size inclusive clothing. The plus girl wants to wear the same dang things as the straight-sized girl. It’s not like you cross over the boundary to plus size sizing and suddenly you want to wear elastic banded pants and oversized grandma florals. No, thats what happens when people who aren’t plus size design for the thickums. The reality is every plus woman wants to wear the same fashions as everyone else. The also want to have options in terms of the aesthetic, riskiness and level of comfort. Simple. So for today’s post- and for several more to come in this series, we are looking at brands that are size inclusive as well as being affordable. These are brands investing in making inclusive shopping a reality, and a good way to tell them we like what they are doing and want more, is by speaking with our dollars. For more plus brands, check out my recent post on where to buy plus size and size inclusive loungewear.
Where You Can Shop for Size Inclusive Clothing (In-Store + Online)
Anna wears an outfit from H&M + NordstromRack
Target This discount store offer affordable everyday fashions in sizes in size 0-26. Check out in house brands like Wild Fable for trendy wear, Who What Wear for style forward pieces or Universal Thread for well made essentials. Universal Thread is also fair trade certified.
Walmart: Lots of people overlook this low-cost mega retailer, but they have gone out of their way to improve their clothing offering recently. They have a diverse size range (XS-5X), just note the online selection is often much better than in store.
American Eagle: New to the plus game this store offers pants in sizes 0-24- also available in store. These are some of my favorite denim and they offer two fits, one made for apples, and another for pear/hourglass shapes. That said, in their other clothing size xxl, is supposed to be a catch all for sizes 20-24, leaving it to be unreliably sized.
Old Navy: Old Navy offers colorful affordable basics in sizes 0-30. Old Navy is great for staple items, lounge wear and active wear.
Forever21: Low cost, high trend items in size 0-24. Items are designed with a younger buyer in mind so sometimes may run smaller than normal in bust, hips and butt.
Maurices This store focus on casual basics in size 0-24. I shop Maurice’s for cute flannels, theme tees and other comfy casual wear. They also make what I consider the best leggings in the market.
Nordstrom Rack: Nordstrom rack is a secret fave of mine for amazing deals on more expensive high quality brands. Catch item is fresh from their main store in size 00-4X. Note: deeply discounted items are usually final sale.
Rue21: Most people don’t even know Rue 21 is size inclusive and offeris clothing in size xs to 4x . This store has super affordable casual wear, that is on trend and often has playful nods to pop culture.
Cato: This store offers size 2 to 28, though sizing can run a bit small. A southern budget staple, Cato offers fun prints and designs with classic southern charm.
Kohl’s : This department store offers affordable everyday items in s-3x. They’ve recently also created a few in-house lines. I have my eye on them to step up their fashion game. While items may be slightly over $50 a piece, they are ALWAYS on sale.
Where You Can Shop for Size Inclusive Clothing (Online Only)
Anna wears a bikini from ASOS and a cover up from Forever 21
Centsofstyle: This new to me store offers size xs-3x and carries a plethora of fun, unique, and fashionable tees, joggers and etc. I reached to the owners and they gave me a discount code ( for you to use to save %15 off your purchase
H&M: This fashion store provides accessible and affordable fashion pieces in 0-28, unfortunately their plus sizes is only available online. If you like buy it, pieces on this site move very very fast. They offer lots of trend forward pieces, at great prices and some are eco-conscious and fair trade.
ASOS: This brand offer fashion forward clothing for sizes 00-26. Items move very quickly and this site is popular with todays fashion trendsetters.
Reb Dolls: This store offers some of the coolest designs and in sizes small to 5X. Note items from here sell out VERY quickly so if you see something, your best bet is to buy it then and there.
Missguided: This fashion brand carries on trend pieces in in size 0-20. While I would love to see their brand expand further into plus, what they offer is sorely needed in size inclusive fashion
BooHoo: This online only store offers a wide variety of quickly rotating styles in size 0-24. Construction at times leaves things to be desired, but nothing their easy return policy can’t fix.
Daily Ritual: This brand offers elevated basics at extremely prices. Shorts range from s- 7x, making this another great option for babes of all sizes.
Venus: Venus provides sone seriues glam at super affordable prices. They offer size s-3x so every babe can feel like a glamazon showstopper.
Women Within– offering size 12-44w, women within is the most inclusive brand on this list. Great for basics and sporty pieces, That said, sizing runs 1-2 sizes small, so size up on pieces that are not oversized.
Shein: I am only listing this store out of due diligence. This brand has been problematic as of late, so I currently do not buy from the. Based on past purchases and experience, the quality is inconsistent and the clothing unimpressive
Rosegal: I am only listing this store out of due diligence. I have not personally shopped this brand, but has not heard positive things.

Anna is wearing a loungewear set from Skims
Target This discount store offers affordable everyday fashions in sizes in size 0-26. Check out in house brands like Wild Fable for trendy leisure wear and Universal Thread for well made essentials; Universal Thread is also fair trade certified.
Walmart: People often sleep on Walmart, and they really should be sleeping in Walmart! I personally love the lounge wear created by Como Blu that’s sold onsite. I own several sets and they are so well made for the price.
Nordstrom: Nordstrom has a modest selection of lounge wear options. Their in-house brand BP has especially cute pieces, but often sells out in a matter of days.
Macy’s: This heritage department store has a considerable amount of cute loungewear options. I particularly like their updated sleep dress styles and pieces from their house brand INC.
Universal Standard:Universal standard offers a variety of lounge wea , from their foundations line, to their modern takes on pajamas. They are a great brand for durable, season-less loungewear in clean contemporary styles
QVC: I’ve found they have several cute and affordable size inclusive lounge wear items. I especially love their brand Anybody, I have several pieces and they are a dream.
Modcloth: This is my go tot for cute vintage inspired twin sets. Items move in and out of stock quickly, so if you like it snag it when you see it.
Venus: Venus provides some serious glam at super affordable prices. They offer size s-3x so every babe can feel like a glamazon showstopper while trying to be both comfortable and fabulous on a zoom call
Savage X Fenty: This brand is the place for ultra cool, unique lounge and sleep wear. Also this brand, founded by Rihanna, stays true to her style and also offers ultra sassy pieces for those who want to sleep looking like a sex goddess. You can purchase two ways, as a member or just as a normal one off at a slightly higher cost.
Old Navy: Old Navy has long been a pajama paradise- especially during the holidays. This store offers colorful affordable jim jams in sizes 0-30.
Skims: Kim Kardashians new shape wear brand also surprisingly has a pretty strong lounge wear component. The theme of the collection is affordable luxury and I’ve been impressed with the quality of the items Ive purchased thus far.
Adore Me: This brand has some cute options but they tend to be more basic in styling and colors. If you’re looking for low key neutral lounge wear, this might be a good brand for you. You can purchase two ways, as a member or just as a normal one off at a slightly higher cost.
J Crew: This brand makes, in my humble opinion, some of the softest, light weight pjs. I own two pairs that I have worn consistently through the summer and been happy with how they’ve held up and maintained their shape.
Print Fresh– This Brand offers traditional pajama styles in cool modern prints. Watch out for sizing as they tend to run a bit small, especially for those with larger hips and thighs.
Where to Shop for Athleisure Wear
Adidas: This legendary sportswear has finally started creating adorable athleisure wear in plus size. That said, the fit in the thigh and butt run extremely small, so this brand fits those who are largest in their waist, best. Those with fuller butts and thighs will need to size up at least one size.
Nike: This fitness wear giant is increasingly creating innovative size inclusive street wear. These comfy yet bold pieces can easily be dressed up or just worn for a relaxing day at home.
Volcolm: This brand offers super cool, sporty sweat sets for those looking for a more urban, surf/skate inspired loungewear. These are high quality pieces that are definitely on trend.
Fabletics Not only does fabletics have adorable work out gear, but they also have a range of sweat pants, tanks and tees that are perfect for lounging. You can purchase two ways, as a member or just as a normal one off at a slightly higher cost. ( On this one I think the membership is totally worth it, I’ve been a memeber for two years and I always find something each month to add to my stash)
Reebok: I just bought my first set from this brand and I am impressed. High quality, super comfortable and modern design makes these pieces an all around win.
Good American: This brand regularly has cute, trendy athleisure and lounge wear that can be dressed up for an adorable street wear look. Their latest collection for Good Sweats is everyones’ tie dye fantasy.
ASOS: This brand offer fashion forward clothing for sizes 00-26. Items move very quickly as this site is popular with today’s fashion trendsetters.
Big Bud Press– This darling indie brand is on everyone’s radar right now. Cool vintage inspired athleisure wear in a rainbow of unique colors make Big Bud Press a one to watch in the lounge wear market,
Mokuyobi– It’s no secret I love this size inclusive athleisure brand. They feature a wide array of comfy pieces in 90s prints, bold colors, and soft fabrics.

Women Within– offering size 12-44w, women within is the most inclusive brand on this list. Great for basics and sporty pieces, That said, sizing runs 1-2 sizes small, so size up on pieces that are not oversized.
Torrid- This store remains the only place I can find a comfortable plus size onesie and I am here for it. Also look out for fangirl inspired pieces to live out your wonder woman, my little pony, harry potter or disney dreams.
Lane Bryant– This OG plus size retailer has always made reliable comfortable sleep and lounge options. A safe and cozy bet for any plus size shopper.

I love Disney, so naturally, I wear a lot of mouse inspired clothing. One of the most frequent things I get asked is where I shop for plus size Disney clothing. To help my other plus size Disney super fans and bounders out, I put together the little list of the 20 of my favorite places to buy fan wear. Many of the options are also size inclusive for those of you who like to dress up with your families! I hope you enjoy this list. Also, many of the stores also carry Harry Potter plus size clothing as well for all the good little wizards and muggles out there to enjoy.
- Torrid: They have regular Disney capsule collections and some of the best plus size options for fan wear.
- Her Universe: Regular character based collections. These items are often licensed to other stores for sale, so if your size is sold out google the item name to see if it is available elsewhere
- Hot Topic: One of my favorite places to pick up fun and unique plus size Disney pieces
- Ambrie: Super soft and wearable Disney park inspired items. Perfect for a day at the park where comfort is key!
- Cakeworthy: They have some of the cutest designs, but unfortunately run small. A 3x fits like a snug xxl; so size up one to two sizes from your normal dress size.
- ShopDisney: The Disney official store always has super cute options available. I’m obsessed with their vintage style dresses and comfy tees. For reference a mens xxl often fits like a women’s 3x, but can be a little inconsistent.
- EMP: For our European friends, I included EMP so you too could get in on the Disney fun.
- Unique Vintage: Unique vintage curates Disney inspired pieces from a variety of smaller designers. Sizing varies, so be sure to check the size chart on each item before purchasing.
- Zazzle: This custom print destination has a surprising amount of Disney items- even leggings. Bonus, most of them can be customized!
- Mainstreet Bella: This store sells super oft Disney themed leggings in both plus and regular sizes. These are great for under dresses on colder days at the park,
- Rue 21: This is a super affordable option to get character shirts. The selection in plus goes up and down, but if you keep your eye out you can snag some pretty cute pieces.
- Box Lunch: This store offers a wide variety of t-shirts designs for the whole family
- PixieDustPrincessCo : Super girly princess inspired tee designs
- SaguaroThreads: T-shirts with a feminine touch, clever phrases and quirky designs.
- Six Princesses: This store offer affordable mommy daughter park-approved princess dresses.
- Mod tees: Clever tees that play on Disney topics and memes
- Midnight Comet Huge selection of his and her tees for couples, newly weds, best friends and other dynamic duos
- Kawaii Dress Shop: Ultra cute, ultra sweet Disney dresses and run costumes.
- Hanna Anderson: The XXL unisex tops fit like a women’s xxxl and are the most comfortable tees ever. The leggings run a bit smaller, but a men xxl should fit an 18/20 comfortably. Bonus: they often offer matching dog options as well!
- Amazon: You can literally find anything on Amazon and awesome Disney gear is no exception. Be prepared to do some digging and you are guaranteed to find so gems.

by Glitter | Oct 21, 2019 | Beauty, Make Up
I’ve tried to turn myself into a mermaid before using make up. Oh yes, I’ve pulled fishnet tights over my face and dabbed the heck out of my brow with grease make up. And sure, in the end I did end up looking kind of mermaid-y, but it was clearly amateur hour.
This time I decided to really try to really bring the scale-y sass-bot of my dreams to life. I went to walmart.com and was able to find nearly everything I needed; the extra bits and bobs ( like my sea queen crown) I picked up in-store. I may or may not have also put several new pairs of seasonal press-on nails in my cart as well, because your girl has needs.
Boy, the tides have turned, heck it’s more like oceans have parted. I went from mermaid to full on mere Queen with this look. I credit my newfound success to three things:
- Pre- work: I actually planned how I wanted this to look. Instead of just rushing into it. This includes using an exfoliator (I love this one I picked up from Dove) on my face body before to ensure everything adhered smoothly
- Patience: amazing fantasy make up can’t be rushed. The blending, the layering an even the pre-planning all takes time.
- Product: I used products that made the process easier. Like, for example stencils gave me a much neater result and also were so much simpler to manipulate than a pair of panty hose over my head. I also applied a white cream base, which really gripped onto the NYX Ultimate shadows I used to create the ombre scales.
What I Used to Create This Look
